Dr. Burçe Aktan completed her dental education at Marmara University, Faculty of Dentistry in Istanbul. She went on to earn her Ph.D. in Prosthodontics from Çukurova University, where her research focused on crown and veneer restorations.
Her doctoral thesis, titled “Evaluation of the Effect of Reuse of Co-Cr Alloy Powders Used in Laser Sinter Production on the Chemical and Physical Properties of the Alloy Powder and the Metal-Ceramic Bond Strength,” was presented at national and international conferences. A summary of her findings was also published in the proceedings of the 2nd International Dental Congress on Additive Manufacturing (IDCAM 2024).
Dr. Aktan has participated in various professional events, including the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and the FDI World Dental Congress. These experiences support her ongoing work in prosthetic treatments.
Her clinical focus includes digital smile design, implant-supported crowns, and laminate veneers. She works with both conventional and digital workflows to provide individualized care for her patients.
She speaks English fluently and continues to follow current developments in prosthodontics through research and continuing education.
